Examination Procedures

Hi there
In the words of someone completely human, DON'T PANIC.

EXAMS are NOT about FAILING

In our training exams are about finding out what you don't know or what you didn't understand. Then your tutor may have an opportunity to explain course content to you.

There are two styles of exams in our training. The first type is called a "Self Evaluation Test". This test is found at the end of each training section or module. This test allows you to self evaluate your knowledge of the training content that you have just completed. This test is similar to what you can expect when you try a real exam. Real exams are the actual final online exam for a training section or module. Real exams are accessed online in the Learning Management System (LMS). They are timed multiple choice question and answer exams.

All real exams are open book which means you can use your notes or the training material while you take an exam. Exams are monitored. You get two attempts at all real exams. The LMS emails you your results as well as instructions on what to do if you fail a real exam.

Before you start an exam, return your Exam Agreement.

    The Exam Process
  1. Study all subject areas first before attempting any exams.
  2. Complete the self evaluation tests first and ask the tutor about what you don't understand.
  3. Before you start a real exam be aware that you can't stop once you start.
  4. Before you sign on for a real exam you must sign your Exam Agreement and post it back to CCC.
  5. All exams are time limited and open book styled.
  6. The exams are multiple choice with four possible answers or true/false answers.
  7. To answer a question just click the circle against A, B, C, or D.
  8. When you are finished submit the exam.
  9. The result will be displayed along with explanations of incorrect answers.
  10. If you fail you get another chance at completing that exam.
    What happens next?
  1. If you need further explanation contact the tutor, usually by telephone or email.
  2. All answers are automatically explained as to their correctness or in-correctness.
  3. This is extremely important in your understanding of the subject.
  4. Continue to the next exam, untill all are finished.
  5. When you have finished all exams, book into your hands on training.
    Exam Timing
  1. When you start an exam a Timer appears in the top right of the examination window. This timer counts down until you have 10 minutes remaining. Then a warning is announced that you have 10 minutes remaining. Some exams have a 10 minute perusal time in which you are not allowed to answer question but you may only read the exam. When the perusal time is finished then you may answer questions and a new count down timer will start.
  2. Exam procedures are also explained in the LMS Student Menu by accessing the Syllabus button.
