Certificate 2 Telecommunications Cabling ICT20302 (ICT20202 for Traineeship's) Data DVD ROM Course Content Information

This training is for cablers and equipment installers who work in any type of Domestic or Commercial Premises where there exists an MDF, BD or CD. You will require an ACMA Open Cabling Registration to perform cabling work. This training leads to a Nationally recognised Certificate 2 in Telecommunications Cabling. You then use that Certificate to apply for the ACMA Open Cabling Registration. The core Learning Resources and Competencies are broken in to 2 categories as some students will have completed equivalent training elsewhere. You are required to achieve 9 competencies to receive your Certificate. Cert 2 Data DVD costs $455 plus pre-requisite costs then complete our Hands on Day $150. (Hands on Day pay on the day). This Data DVD contains some bonus training called "What is Fibre Optics".
You may also complete the same training online for $345 plus pre-requisites and the hands on day for $150.
If you do not possess an electrical trades certificate you may have to also complete some pre-requisite subjects.
The pre-requisites do not apply to trades qualified persons such as Electricians, persons who hold a Certificate in Electronics or Radiocommunications as an example.

The pre-requisite Learner Resource required by the ACMA and CCC is:
- ACDC Theory - $30 - required for non trades qualified persons.
The first 2 Competencies / Learner Resources are listed here. These are charged separately and RPL may be applicable :
- ICTTC170A Follow OHS and environmental policy and procedures - $30 - typically not required if you hold the Building Construction Induction card or equivalent OH&S training.
- ICTTC140B Use hand and power tools - $33 - Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is used.
